  • He is a graduate of the prestigious NYU School of Medicine OB/GYN residency program where he gained a vast experience managing patients with complex obstetric and gynecologic problems. He received extensive training in minimally invasive surgical technique and maintains a special interest in these procedures (including laparoscopic and robotic management of ovarian cysts, laparoscopic hysterectomy, laparoscopic and hysteroscopic management of uterine fibroids), and is active in minimally invasive Surgical training for the OB/GYN residency program. His research interests include advances in laparoscopy and hysteroscopy. Based on his research focusing on the incidence of cancer in endometrial polyps, Dr. Day was invited to present his findings at the 37th Annual Global Congress on Minimally Invasive Gynecology in November, 2008.   • Dr. Tkach emigrated from the former Soviet Union in 1993, where she had practiced medicine as an OB/GYN for 11 years. Dr. Tkach was one of the leading and most respected OB/GYNs at the Center for Health of Woman & Child in Kishinev, Moldova. After successfully passing all her required examinations in United States, Dr. Tkach was accepted for residency at St. Joseph’s Medical Center, an Affiliate of Mount Sinai School of Medicine of New York University, and graduated from the challenging program in 2004. Upon her graduation, Dr. Tkach was awarded a resident achievement of Special Excellence in Endoscopic Procedures. Dr. Tkach remains as one of the faculty attendings at the renowned St. Joseph’s OB/GYN program and practices medicine at her private office in Totowa.
